Encuentro Internacional KiVa 2025
El pasado 24 y 25 de enero, San Patricio International School se convirtió en sede del Encuentro Internacional KiVa 2025. Este prestigioso evento reunió a los líderes de los departamentos de psicología y prevención del abuso escolar de más de 26 colegios provenientes de estados como Baja California, Guanajuato, Nuevo León, Querétaro, Ciudad de México, Campeche y Jalisco y líderes internacionales del tema de Finalandia.
El programa KiVa, desarrollado originalmente en Finlandia por la Universidad de Turku, es un modelo innovador para la prevención del acoso escolar que se ha implementado con éxito en diversos países. Con un enfoque basado en investigaciones científicas, KiVa se centra en la intervención efectiva, el fortalecimiento de la empatía entre los estudiantes y la construcción de entornos escolares libres de violencia.
Sus resultados han sido notables: en Finlandia, donde el 90% de las escuelas han adoptado KiVa, se reporta una reducción significativa en los casos de acoso escolar. Un estudio a gran escala reveló que el 98% de las víctimas que participaron en intervenciones del programa mejoraron su situación notablemente. En España, los colegios que implementaron KiVa redujeron los casos de acoso escolar del 15.2% al 7%, mientras que en Italia se observó una disminución tanto en la violencia como en la victimización en las escuelas evaluadas.
San Patricio International School fue pionero en implementar este programa internacional en México y anfitrión de dos días intensos de conferencias, talleres y mesas de trabajo. El evento fue liderado por Federico Malpica Basurto, coordinador general de KiVa en México, y contó con la destacada participación de expertas internacionales como Katja Linnaranta y Katri Sohlman, coordinadoras de escuelas internacionales KiVa, así como las instructoras mexicanas Paola Serrano y Monique Zepeda.
Durante el encuentro las ponentes compartieron estadísticas globales sobre acoso escolar, estrategias innovadoras de prevención, y el papel fundamental que tienen los docentes y los padres de familia en la construcción de comunidades libres de bullying. Además, se presentaron programas efectivos para capacitar a las escuelas en el manejo de información y el desarrollo de políticas educativas que promuevan la concientización y la empatía como valores esenciales.
El Encuentro Internacional KiVa 2025 reafirma el compromiso de los colegios participantes con la educación integral, la convivencia armónica y la erradicación del acoso escolar. 2025년 1월 24일과 25일, 산 파트리시오 국제학교는 2025 국제 KiVa 서밋을 개최했습니다. 이 권위 있는 행사에는 바하칼리포르니아, 과나후아토, 누에보 레온, 케레타로, 멕시코시티, 캄페체, 하리스코 등 여러 주의 심리학 및 학교 괴롭힘 방지 부서의 리더들과 핀란드에서 온 국제 전문가들이 한자리에 모였습니다.
KiVa 프로그램은 핀란드 투르쿠 대학교에서 개발된 혁신적인 학교 괴롭힘 방지 모델로, 여러 나라에서 성공적으로 시행되고 있는 프로그램입니다. 연구 기반 접근법을 바탕으로, KiVa는 효과적인 개입, 학생들 간의 공감 강화, 폭력이 없는 학교 환경 조성을 목표로 하고 있습니다.
이 프로그램의 결과는 주목할 만합니다. 핀란드에서는 학교의 90%가 KiVa를 채택하여 괴롭힘 사례가 크게 감소했습니다. 대규모 연구에 따르면, 프로그램의 개입에 참여한 피해자의 98%가 상황이 크게 개선된 것으로 나타났습니다. 스페인에서는 KiVa를 도입한 학교에서 괴롭힘 사례가 15.2%에서 7%로 감소했으며, 이탈리아에서도 평가된 학교들에서 폭력과 피해 사례가 모두 감소했습니다.
산 파트리시오 국제학교는 멕시코에서 이 국제 프로그램을 처음 도입한 선구자이며, 이틀간의 집중적인 컨퍼런스, 워크숍, 실무 세션을 개최하는 주최자가 되었습니다. 이번 행사는 페데리코 말피카 바수르토, 멕시코 KiVa 총괄 코디네이터의 주도로 진행되었으며, 국제 KiVa 학교의 코디네이터인 카트야 린나란타와 카트리 솔만, 그리고 멕시코 강사인 파올라 세라노와 모니크 제페다와 같은 저명한 국제 전문가들이 참여했습니다.
서밋에서는 괴롭힘에 대한 글로벌 통계, 혁신적인 예방 전략, 그리고 교사와 부모가 괴롭힘 없는 공동체를 구축하는 데 있어서 중요한 역할을 수행하는 방법에 대해 공유되었습니다. 또한, 학교가 정보를 관리하고 공감과 인식을 필수적인 가치로 촉진하는 교육 정책을 개발할 수 있는 효과적인 프로그램이 발표되었습니다.
2025 국제 KiVa 서밋은 참여 학교들이 전인 교육, 조화로운 공존, 그리고 괴롭힘 근절에 대한 헌신을 재확인하는 계기가 되었습니다. 이 이니셔티브를 위해 문을 연 산 파트리시오 국제학교는 교육 혁신과 예방이 결합된 공간으로서, 책임감 있고 헌신적인 글로벌 시민을 양성하는 지역의 선두 주자로 자리매김했습니다. 이는 또한 주 정부의 관련 프로그램을 통해 더욱 지원받고 있습니다.
2025 International KiVa Summit
On January 24th and 25th, San Patricio International School hosted the 2025 International KiVa Summit. This prestigious event brought together leaders from the psychology and bullying prevention departments of over 26 schools from states such as Baja California, Guanajuato, Nuevo León, Querétaro, Mexico City, Campeche, and Jalisco, as well as international experts from Finland.
The KiVa program, originally developed in Finland by the University of Turku, is an innovative model for preventing bullying that has been successfully implemented in various countries. With a research-based approach, KiVa focuses on effective intervention, strengthening empathy among students, and creating school environments free from violence.
Its results have been remarkable: in Finland, where 90% of schools have adopted KiVa, there has been a significant reduction in bullying cases. A large-scale study revealed that 98% of victims who participated in the program’s interventions saw notable improvements in their situations. In Spain, schools implementing KiVa reduced bullying cases from 15.2% to 7%, while in Italy, a decrease in both violence and victimization was observed in the evaluated schools.
San Patricio International School was a pioneer in implementing this international program in Mexico and served as the host for two intensive days of conferences, workshops, and working sessions. The event was led by Federico Malpica Basurto, General Coordinator of KiVa in Mexico, and featured prominent international experts such as Katja Linnaranta and Katri Sohlman, coordinators of international KiVa schools, along with Mexican instructors Paola Serrano and Monique Zepeda.
