A Glimpse of Our Oktoberfest at SPIS

Dear San Patricio Community,

Last week, our Middle School students celebrated Oktoberfest, an activity that gave our students a chance to learn more about German culture through its food, history, and traditions. It was a cheerful and enriching day where students could practice the German language in a fun and relaxed way.

Germany is a country with a fascinating history, a vibrant culture, and a remarkable contribution to the world in science, art, and education. Learning more about its language and customs helps our students broaden their understanding of the world and appreciate the value of learning from other cultures.

At San Patricio International School, we believe that learning a language is also a way of opening our minds to the world—of discovering new ways of thinking and appreciating the cultural diversity around us. Activities like this help our students connect learning with experience and realize that every language is a window to new perspectives.

Oktoberfest 2025 en el SPIS

Querida comunidad San Patricio:

La semana pasada nuestros alumnos de Secundaria celebraron el Oktoberfest, una actividad que permitió a los alumnos acercarse un poco más a la cultura alemana a través de su gastronomía, historia y tradiciones. Fue una jornada alegre, sencilla y muy enriquecedora, donde los niños pudieron practicar el idioma alemán de una manera diferente y divertida.

Alemania es un país con una historia fascinante y un gran aporte al mundo en ciencia, arte y educación. Conocer más sobre su idioma y costumbres ayuda a nuestros alumnos a ampliar su visión del mundo y a reconocer el valor de aprender de otras culturas.

En San Patricio International School, creemos que aprender un idioma es también una oportunidad para abrir la mente al mundo, para conocer otras formas de pensar y valorar la diversidad cultural que nos rodea. Actividades como esta les permiten a nuestros estudiantes conectar el aprendizaje con la experiencia y descubrir que cada idioma es una ventana hacia nuevas perspectivas.
