Celebrating the Small, Meaningful Wins

Dear San Patricio Community,

In these final weeks of the school year, our students are participating in the MAP Growth assessment—a valuable tool that allows us to understand their academic progress in different areas. Beyond the results themselves, this evaluation is a chance to look at how far each student has come and recognize their individual growth.

Because not everything is about grades or scores. Real learning is also reflected in the small everyday achievements: in consistency, in attitude, in the curiosity with which our students face challenges, in the confidence they’ve gained, and in how they collaborate, solve problems, or express their ideas more clearly.

At school, we deeply value that personal and academic growth. Every step forward, no matter how small, builds a strong foundation for the future. Celebrating these milestones at home—whether it’s improvement in a specific skill, having the courage to speak up in class, or simply giving their best effort—nurtures emotional growth and motivation to keep learning.

Querida comunidad San Patricio:

En estas últimas semanas del ciclo escolar, nuestros estudiantes están participando en la evaluación MAP Growth, una herramienta valiosa que nos permite conocer el avance académico de cada uno en distintas áreas. Más allá de los resultados en sí, esta evaluación es una oportunidad para mirar el camino recorrido y reconocer el crecimiento individual de cada alumno.

Porque no todo se trata de calificaciones o puntajes. El verdadero aprendizaje también se refleja en los pequeños logros diarios: en la constancia, en la actitud, en la curiosidad con la que nuestros estudiantes enfrentan los retos, en la confianza que han ganado en sí mismos y en su manera de trabajar en equipo, resolver problemas o expresar sus ideas con mayor claridad.

Desde el colegio, valoramos profundamente ese crecimiento personal y académico. Cada avance, por pequeño que parezca, construye bases sólidas para el futuro. Celebrar estos logros con nuestros hijos —ya sea mejorar en una habilidad específica, atreverse a hacer una pregunta en clase o simplemente haber dado su mejor esfuerzo— es también parte de su formación emocional y de su motivación para seguir aprendiendo.
