Innovation Is the Courage to Try
Dear San Patricio Community,
This month, we are focusing on the value of Innovation, understood as the ability to think differently and explore new ways of doing things. Innovation is not reserved for a select few; it is an attitude that grows every day when our students dare to question, create, and look for new solutions to challenges.
Sometimes innovation begins with an unexpected question. Other times, it starts with a mistake that turns into learning. In the classroom, in the lab, in artistic or athletic activities, our students are constantly creating, refining, and proposing new ideas. That willingness to move beyond “the way it’s always been done” is what truly makes a difference.
We live in a world that is constantly evolving, and preparing innovators does not mean expecting them to invent something extraordinary overnight. It means teaching them to observe, analyze, and confidently propose solutions. We want them to understand that their ideas matter and that they have the ability to positively impact the world around them.
At home, families can continue nurturing this mindset by listening to their children’s ideas, encouraging them to try new things, and giving them space to explore. Innovation grows where there is support, patience, and trust.
Let’s continue shaping students who are not afraid to think differently and who understand that every idea has the potential to become something meaningful.

Innovar es atreverse a intentar
Estimada comunidad San Patricio:
Este mes estamos trabajando el valor de la Innovación, entendida como la capacidad de pensar diferente y proponer nuevas maneras de hacer las cosas. Innovar no es algo reservado para unos cuantos; es una actitud que se construye todos los días cuando nuestros alumnos se animan a cuestionar, a crear y a buscar soluciones distintas ante un reto.
A veces la innovación empieza con una pregunta inesperada. Otras veces, con un error que termina convirtiéndose en aprendizaje. En el salón, en el laboratorio, en actividades artísticas o deportivas, nuestros estudiantes están constantemente creando, ajustando y proponiendo. Esa capacidad de no conformarse con “así se ha hecho siempre” es lo que realmente marca la diferencia.
Vivimos en un mundo que cambia rápido, y formar innovadores no significa presionarlos a inventar algo extraordinario, sino enseñarles a observar, analizar y proponer soluciones con confianza. Queremos que sepan que sus ideas importan y que tienen la capacidad de transformar su entorno.
Desde casa, también podemos impulsar este valor escuchando sus propuestas, permitiéndoles intentar cosas nuevas y dándoles espacio para experimentar. La innovación necesita apoyo, paciencia y, sobre todo, confianza.
Sigamos formando alumnos que no tengan miedo de pensar distinto y que entiendan que cada idea puede ser el inicio de algo grande.

혁신은 때로는 예상치 못한 질문에서 시작되고, 때로는 실수를 통해 배움으로 이어집니다. 교실에서, 실험실에서, 예술과 체육 활동 속에서 우리 학생들은 끊임없이 생각하고, 수정하고, 새로운 아이디어를 제안하고 있습니다. “항상 이렇게 해왔기 때문에”라는 틀을 넘어서는 용기가 바로 차이를 만들어 냅니다.
끊임없이 변화하는 세상 속에서 혁신적인 인재를 기른다는 것은 대단한 발명을 요구하는 것이 아닙니다. 스스로 관찰하고, 분석하며, 자신 있게 해결책을 제시할 수 있도록 돕는 것입니다. 우리는 학생들이 자신의 생각이 가치 있고, 세상에 긍정적인 영향을 줄 수 있다는 것을 믿도록 돕고자 합니다.
가정에서도 이 가치를 이어갈 수 있습니다. 아이들의 아이디어에 귀 기울이고, 새로운 시도를 응원하며, 스스로 탐구할 수 있는 공간을 제공해 주는 것이 중요합니다. 혁신은 신뢰와 지지, 그리고 기다림 속에서 자랍니다.
우리 학생들이 다르게 생각하는 것을 두려워하지 않고, 작은 아이디어 하나도 의미 있는 시작이 될 수 있음을 이해하는 사람으로 성장하길 바랍니다.
