Multicultural Week at SPIS!

Dear San Patricio Community,

Last week, we experienced one of those activities we enjoy the most at school — our Multicultural Week. During these days, preschool and elementary students explored different cultures, languages, and traditions from around the world through fun activities, games, and food tastings that sparked their curiosity and enthusiasm.

Our preschool students had a wonderful time visiting the different country stands, where they learned about new languages, gastronomy, and customs. It was a beautiful opportunity to discover that, even though we come from different places, we all share universal values such as friendship, respect, and cooperation.

Our elementary students also took part in activities that helped them learn more about the cultural richness of the world in an interactive and enjoyable way, encouraging empathy and a more open view of diversity.

Meanwhile, our middle school students participated in their In-House MUN (Model United Nations), where they discussed global issues, proposed solutions, and practiced leadership, critical thinking, and teamwork.

At San Patricio International School, we believe that these experiences go beyond the classroom — they prepare our students to become true global citizens who understand, value, and celebrate diversity.

Semana Multicultural en el SPIS

Querida comunidad San Patricio:

La semana pasada vivimos en el colegio una de esas experiencias que más nos gusta compartir con nuestros alumnos: la Semana Multicultural. Durante estos días, los niños de preescolar y primaria exploraron diferentes culturas, idiomas y tradiciones del mundo a través de actividades, dinámicas y degustaciones que despertaron su curiosidad y entusiasmo.

Nuestros pequeños de preescolar disfrutaron visitando los stands de distintos países, donde aprendieron sobre su idioma, su gastronomía y sus costumbres. Fue una oportunidad maravillosa para descubrir que, aunque somos distintos, todos compartimos valores universales como la amistad, el respeto y la cooperación.

Los alumnos de primaria también participaron en actividades que los llevaron a conocer la riqueza cultural del mundo de una manera divertida y participativa, desarrollando empatía y una mirada más abierta hacia las diferencias.

Y mientras tanto, nuestros estudiantes de secundaria vivieron su In-House MUN (Modelo de las Naciones Unidas), donde debatieron temas globales, propusieron soluciones y pusieron en práctica habilidades de liderazgo, pensamiento crítico y trabajo en equipo.

En San Patricio International School, estamos convencidos de que estas experiencias van más allá del aula: preparan a nuestros estudiantes para ser ciudadanos del mundo, capaces de comprender, valorar y convivir con la diversidad.

사랑하는 San Patricio 가족 여러분,

지난주 우리 학교에서는 모두가 기다리던 다문화 주간(Multicultural Week) 행사가 열렸습니다. 이 기간 동안 유치부와 초등학생들은 전 세계의 다양한 문화, 언어, 전통을 체험하며, 즐겁고 흥미로운 활동과 게임, 음식 체험을 통해 호기심과 배움을 넓혔습니다.

유치부 학생들은 여러 나라의 부스를 방문하며 새로운 언어와 음식, 문화를 배우는 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다. 서로 다른 배경을 가지고 있지만, 모든 사람들이 우정, 존중, 협력과 같은 보편적인 가치를 공유한다는 사실을 자연스럽게 느낄 수 있는 기회였습니다.

초등학생들 역시 다양한 활동에 참여하며 세계의 문화적 풍요로움을 배우고, 다양성을 이해하고 존중하는 마음을 키워갔습니다.

한편, 중등부 학생들은 In-House MUN (Model United Nations) 프로그램에 참여해 세계적인 이슈를 토론하고 해결책을 제시하며, 리더십과 비판적 사고, 협동심을 실천했습니다.
