Strengthening Values Through Athletics
Dear San Patricio Community,
Throughout the school year, we experience many moments that shape our students’ growth. Some happen inside the classroom, and others take place in spaces where learning looks different, yet is just as meaningful. Athletics is one of those spaces that leaves a lasting impact.
Sports are about much more than competition. They build discipline, perseverance, respect for the rules, and teamwork. In our school, we see every day how athletics becomes a powerful tool for character formation. Our students are not only developing physical skills; they are learning to win with humility and to face challenges with maturity. They learn to support one another, recover from mistakes, and move forward with commitment.
Next month, we will celebrate one of the most anticipated events of the year: the SPIS Games, our annual school Olympics. These events, which we proudly organize each year, provide an opportunity to strengthen school spirit, healthy competition, and the sense of belonging that defines San Patricio International School. It will be a time for our students to showcase their preparation, but most importantly, the values they have built throughout the year.
We encourage everyone to cheer enthusiastically for your team, White or Green, and to enjoy this experience with respect and excitement. More information regarding competition days and dress code will be shared soon by your Level Principal.

Fortaleciendo Valores a Través del Deporte
Estimada comunidad San Patricio:
A lo largo del ciclo escolar vivimos distintos momentos que fortalecen la formación de nuestros alumnos. Algunos suceden dentro del aula y otros en espacios donde el aprendizaje se vive de manera diferente, pero igual de significativa. El deporte es uno de esos espacios que deja huella.
El deporte es mucho más que competencia. Es disciplina, constancia, respeto por las reglas y trabajo en equipo. En nuestro colegio vemos todos los días cómo el deporte se convierte en una herramienta formativa. Nuestros estudiantes no solo desarrollan habilidades físicas; aprenden a ganar con humildad y a perder con madurez. Aprenden a apoyarse, a levantarse después de un error y a seguir adelante con compromiso.
El próximo mes viviremos uno de los eventos más esperados del año: los SPIS Games, nuestras olimpiadas escolares. Este tipo de eventos que organizamos con gusto son una oportunidad para fortalecer la sana convivencia, el sentido de pertenencia y el espíritu de equipo que distingue a San Patricio International School. Será una ocasión para que nuestros alumnos demuestren su preparación, pero sobre todo, los valores que han construido a lo largo del ciclo.
Los invitamos a apoyar con entusiasmo a su equipo, blanco o verde, y a vivir esta experiencia con respeto y alegría. Más adelante recibirán indicaciones por parte de su directora de nivel sobre el día asignado para la competencia y la vestimenta correspondiente.

한 학년 동안 우리 학생들은 다양한 경험을 통해 성장합니다. 교실 안에서 이루어지는 배움도 있지만, 또 다른 공간에서 몸으로 배우는 소중한 시간도 있습니다. 그중 하나가 바로 스포츠 활동입니다.
스포츠는 단순한 경쟁을 넘어 규칙을 존중하는 태도, 꾸준함, 협력, 그리고 책임감을 배우는 과정입니다. 우리 학교에서는 스포츠가 학생들의 인성을 키우는 중요한 교육의 장이 되는 모습을 매일 확인하고 있습니다. 학생들은 신체적인 능력뿐 아니라, 겸손하게 승리를 받아들이고 어려움을 성숙하게 극복하는 법을 배웁니다. 서로를 격려하고, 실수 이후 다시 도전하는 자세 또한 스포츠를 통해 성장합니다.
다음 달에는 우리 학교의 대표적인 행사인 SPIS Games, 즉 연례 교내 올림픽이 열릴 예정입니다. 매년 정성을 다해 준비하는 이러한 행사는 공동체 의식을 강화하고 건강한 경쟁 문화를 경험할 수 있는 소중한 기회입니다. 이는 San Patricio International School이 추구하는 학교 정신을 잘 보여주는 행사이기도 합니다. 학생들이 한 해 동안 쌓아온 준비와 더불어, 그동안 길러온 가치들을 보여주는 시간이 될 것입니다.
